Introduction
Coffee is not a convenience at Coffee & Plant. It is a craft. From the moment we select our beans to the final pour into your cup, every step is deliberate, considered, and rooted in a genuine love for what great coffee can be. Here is a look at how we think about coffee and why it matters to us.
Choosing Our Beans
We work exclusively with single-origin beans — coffee that comes from one specific farm or region, rather than a blend of multiple sources. This matters because single-origin coffee tells a story. You can taste the soil it grew in, the altitude of the farm, the care of the farmer. We source beans that we believe in, from growers who share our values around sustainability and quality.
The Roast
We roast to bring out the natural character of each bean rather than to mask it. Our roast profiles are developed carefully to highlight the unique flavour notes of each origin — whether that is a bright, fruity Ethiopian or a deep, chocolatey bean from the slopes of Mount Kenya. We do not roast everything the same way because no two beans are the same.
The Brew
Our baristas are trained to treat every cup as its own moment. Grind size, water temperature, extraction time — each variable is dialled in daily. Whether you order a pour-over, a flat white, or a cold brew, you are getting a cup that someone has genuinely thought about. We encourage you to ask your barista about what is in your cup. They love talking about it.
Why It Matters
We live in a world of fast coffee — grabbed on the go, forgotten before it is finished. At Coffee & Plant we want to offer something different. A cup worth sitting with. A moment worth taking. Come in, slow down, and let us show you what coffee can really taste like.
